A journey into diversity 🎵

Hello dear children!

As a chimney sweep, I meet different people every day: the doctor who likes to play prank calls, the girl who dreams of a swimming pool in her treehouse, and the senior citizen who is living life to the fullest after a car accident.

If only you knew how diverse the people around me are! With many of these people, you'd never guess what exciting stories they have to tell. And these are exactly the stories I want to tell you! In each episode, I introduce you to all the people and their stories.

A little tip: If you're up for it, you can listen to an episode of my radio play every day with your loved one. This way, you'll get to know new people and their uniqueness every day, and at the end of each episode, you can talk, discuss, and fantasize about it together :-)

Would you like to join me on a journey into diversity and immerse yourself in my colorful world? Do you have the playing cards in front of you? Then let's get started!

Have fun!

Episode 1: The Confusion

In the first episode, you'll meet Azra, a Muslim woman, and Martha, a nun. The two meet in a library, and a funny mix-up ensues. Dear children, has this ever happened to you?

Episode 2: In the gym

Milan and Junis have been best friends since kindergarten! Naturally, the two spend as much time together as possible, even in their free time. Their favorite hobby: playing basketball! The fact that Milan is in a wheelchair doesn't stop them from shooting hoops together as often as possible!

Episode 3: On Patrol

Today I'd like to introduce you to two police officers: Matthias and Helmut. They've been patrolling together for 16 years and are the best colleagues in the world! However, they don't always agree, as you'll see in this episode. How would you have acted in this situation?

Episode 4: You only live once!

Today I'm introducing you to two very special people: Gerd and Helena. They're both over 80, but both are super fit! While many of their friends from the retirement home travel less these days, Gerd and Helena spend the cold winter months on Bali – a wonderfully warm South Sea island. Hear what crazy things they get up to there in this episode.

Episode 5: In Court

Pablo and Sebastian messed things up: They scammed elderly people with the "grandparent scam" and stole a lot of money from them. Today, the two are in court. Pablo dressed better than Sebastian. He hopes this will make a good impression on the judge. Do you think this is a good idea?

Episode 6: The Birthday Party

Lisa-Marie and Ida are best friends! They even share the same birthday: July 26th! While Lisa-Marie is showered with gifts from her loved ones, Ida receives only one present from her parents. But Ida is happier about this small gift than Lisa-Marie is about all her many presents combined. Can you guess why?

Episode 7: On Stage

Johann is a singer and has his own show: The "Ronja Rocket Show"! There, he goes on stage dressed as a woman and wows the audience. Laura, on the other hand, can't sing very well, but she moves her lips skillfully to the music playing on the speakers. This makes the audience think she has a great singing voice.

Episode 8: On the construction site

When Joe and Christiane first met, they didn't get along very well. Christiane had never worked on a construction site before, and Joe didn't like that at all. One day, however, Christiane was able to prove that she was at least as good and talented as the other men as a construction worker.

Episode 9: Fun on the Ice

For single parents Nadine and Chris, it's important to spend enough time with their children. Ice skating is a great way for the little ones to let off steam! It's almost unnoticeable that dad Chris is terrified and doesn't want to fall. Does he manage that? Hear for yourself!

Episode 10: In Space

Martje is the first German female astronaut. And it gets even better: She's even the first Black German to fly into space. There, she meets Wang, a Chinese woman, with whom she makes history. As the Chinese spacecraft docks with Martje's International Space Station for the first time, the two radio to control station: mission successful.

Episode 11: Liam and Lasse

Liam and Lasse are the happiest children around. The two are neighbors and explore the world together every day. Liam is a real bundle of energy: He's always eager to go back to the playground to romp around. In this episode, you'll hear what calms Lasse down when he falls asleep and, above all, what Down syndrome is all about.

Episode 12: Mom, Dad, Child?

Little Sophie has two wonderful dads: Tobi and Kaami. Today, the three of them are going to the stadium together for the first time to cheer on their favorite soccer team. In the park next to the stadium, another family is playing badminton. For daughter Leah, everything is always a competition, and she always wants to win. When she loses, she often gets upset. But mom Annika knows how to cheer Leah up. In this episode, you'll learn how different families can be.

Episode 13: City kid or village kid?

Anton grew up in a village. The grass is green there, and he can ride his bike every day. Nikita grew up in a big city. He also has a bike, but it's been parked in the basement for months. He prefers to take the bus to soccer practice; it's faster. Nikita likes living in the city because all his friends live there and he has plenty of opportunities to discover new things. Anton loves village life because everyone knows each other, and he absolutely loves spending time in nature.

Episode 14: The Startup

Brigitte is already 71 years old and has worked her entire life. And even though she could enjoy her retirement and just relax, she has founded her own company: "omas-mützen-manufaktur.de"! Pia is over 50 years younger than Brigitte and works as a programmer at the startup. The two work in a diverse team of young and old, and their startup recently even made the newspaper!

Episode 15: Are boys allowed to play with dolls?

Clara and Linus share a children's room. And, of course, they share the many building blocks, dolls, toy figures, soccer ball, children's books, and much more. They had never considered who would be allowed to play with which toys! Until Grandpa Heinz asked.

Episode 16: Friendship and Love

Of course, Mara is there for her best friend Emma when her boyfriend breaks up with her. He didn't really break up with her via text message, did he?" Mara asks while eating ice cream. Next to them, at the Buonissimo ice cream parlor, are Lena and Tugce. The two have been a couple since yesterday. Dear children, what is the difference between friendship and love?

Episode 17: In the Stadium

Nakamura and Daniel are professional athletes. They both compete for their respective countries, Japan and Germany, at the Olympic Games. Daniel has a lower leg prosthesis and is competing in the Paralympics... What? You don't know what the "Paralympics" are? Well, then listen to episode 17.

Episode 18: In the Hospital

Sina is a pediatrician and brings a unique side to her work. Like Mukunda, she wants the children, her patients, to feel truly comfortable in the practice. The more she engages them in conversation, the faster the treatment progresses. Did you know that Mukunda and Sina were both not born in Germany?

Episode 19: The Music Concert

Josephine and Konstantin are true stars at their school. They truly blossom in the school jazz band and show what they're capable of. You wouldn't necessarily think that Josephine, in particular, could play the low notes of her heavy instrument so well. The audience applauds enthusiastically!
